Read This: Farrago’s Wainscot

Farrago’s Wainscot had its last issue in 2009. I am happy to see this excellent ‘zine of the uncanny and the mellifluous will return in February 2015. Meanwhile, I encourage perusing the archives. If and when you do,  start with Edward Morris’ Lotophagi. A weird and horrific little piece set in the Pac NW, reprinted by Ellen Datlow for her year’s best.

  1. edwardmorris says:

Ellen Datlow ran “Lotophagi” in ELLEN DATLOW’S BEST HORROR OF THE YEAR 2, and the VanderMeers also ran it in the first ODD?!? anthology. As dated as that one looks compared to current work… I still rammed it home at the time. Furiously. And it generated several wonderful conversations with the incomparable Laird Barron, whose work has taught me so very much about Horror, humanity and Art. So yeah. 🙂

  2. Still one of my very favorites of everything we’ve acquired.
