There are positive reviews and then there are POSITIVE reviews. After reading that very informative and gushing review, I am counting the days for Amazon to send me my pre-ordered copy of Swift to Chase.
My only quibble: some readers, like myself, enjoy engrossing Mythos fiction even if it’s derivative. Cosmic horror fiction can be very entertaining even when the writing is second tier. We don’t mind occasional name dropping of the Old Ones.
I’m also interested in the Thin Air novel based on the review. Ghosts and mountain climbing — what can go wrong?
Jeff Long’s Descent does an excellent job of setting horror in the mountains.
