Dwellers in Darkness

February 6, 2016 by Laird

Canadian author and designer, Yves Tourigny, has created a site called They Who Dwell in the Cracks. The site dissects my various stories, novels, and collections. It’s always enlightening to see how readers interact with my work and this is that experience on steroids. I’m fascinated to see how the project develops.

  1. This is great — will share.

  2. Reblogged this on Philip Fracassi and commented:
Very cool fan-built site for readers of Laird Barron.

This definitely looks like something I’ll need to follow.

Laird, I’ve noticed your following has a true appreciation of the subtle and recurring intricacies of your stories. You will have many years of enjoying watching us follow the breadcrumbs if you keep laying them. Cheers from a very impressed fan.

Thoroughly intriguing. I love the layers in your stories especially the sentences that must be read three times to dissect all of the meanings. There are many ghouls under the bed of your writing and its cool to see someone crazy enough to spend the time checking under there with a flashlight.
I will check back to this new Site!

Great new site. I have a couple of unrelated questions. I seem to remember you mentioning a special story to be released for those of us who bought “Little Brown Book of Burials”. Has that been released? You also spoke of possibly writing a James Bond novel. Any updates on that?

  8. Laird says:

Shawn–I plan to write a story for those who picked up the LBB. Hoping for spring/summer and will definitely make an announcement.

No JB novel in the works. However, I contributed a James Bond story to this anthology: http://chizinepub.com/books/license-expired
