I provided the foreword to a reissue of The Case Against Satan by Ray Russell. Coming from Penguin Classics in time for Halloween. Damned creepy book, written with a chilling, stripped to the bone style. Highly recommended.

Excellent! Hope the cover is just as alarming as this one!
This is new to me, which is good. I’ll check it out.
Regarding cover art: I’ve always preferred the conceptual and subtle over excess or obvious tacks. Compare the Imago Sequence cover to something like New Cthulhu 2. I must be in the minority since there seem to be an abundance of the latter.
I like all kinds, but it’s hard to argue against nuance.
Can’t believe I’ve never heard of this, but now I’m dying to read it.
