Crows N’ Bones have published a major review of The Children of Old Leech. Quoting Dimitris Kontogiannis, “I mean we‘ve been Laird’s fans for some years now, but Crows ‘n’ Bones is just a sleazy sex, horror & rock ‘n’ roll webzine.”
In other words, my people.

Great overview of each story and review in general. I’m at the halfway point of this book currently and really digging it, like a grave. which is a hole. in the earth, into the earth. like a yawning maw of dirt, rocks and roots. The acrid scent of bones and mold and something else even deeper, festering…writhing…
I love those guys! Writhing, squirming, the flashlight batteries are dying…
The highest praise:
“Barron has been around for a while now, but is he really the kind of writer whose work is rich and whose voice is distinct enough to warrant a themed anthology- the way that, say, a Moorcock or a Lovecraft does?
Well, yeah, he is and the range of the material in the collection demonstrates why. Barron’s work encompasses a wealth of literary traditions and his voice bridges effortlessly the fields of the weird, noir and adventure fiction making such genre boundaries obsolete.”
That about sums it up.
Thanks, Jonathan.
