Home from KGB

KGB was terrific–Paul Tremblay and I read to a packed house. “Slave Arm” for me; a passage from the forthcoming Head Full of Ghosts for him. Thank you to KGB Bar, Ellen Datlow, Matt Kressel, and Word Books for their hard work hosting the event. Thanks to my agent Janet Reid for hanging with us, and to my girlfriend Jessica for her support. And a big thank you to everybody for turning out.

Laird, you were terrific! And everyone was definitely feeling it. I never realized how many wonderful, dark jokes are in Slave Arm. It was an honor to be there and to hear you read.
I have to say, you draw quite the crowd! It was great to be rubbing elbows with so many awesome writers, editors and fans!
It was magical!
